Full-range AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical drafting support that works inside your title blocks, layers and standards — so your engineers review and stamp, instead of spending their hours on sheet production.
Most electrical shops do not have a drafting problem. They have a peak problem. Bid work lands in bunches, permit deadlines stack up, and the same two people who price jobs also end up building sets at night. Hiring a full-time drafter for those peaks is slow and fixed in cost, and the work still dries up between rushes.
VoltDraft fills that gap. We act as your overflow drafting room: you keep control of the engineering, the client contact and the final review, and we handle the hours of sheet work in between. Send work when you have it, pay for drafting only when you use it, and get sets back on a standard 24–48 hour cycle depending on size. Because we work overnight against US time zones, files sent by your evening are often in your inbox the next morning, ready for your review before the day starts.
We are a drafting studio, not an engineering firm. Drafting only — no PE stamp. Final review and stamp remain with your licensed engineer. That split is clear on every project, so there is never confusion about who owns the design decisions.

Our core work covers the sheets electrical contractors and MEP firms produce every week:
If a sheet type is not listed here, ask. If it can be drawn in AutoCAD from your input, we can almost always produce it in your format.
A drawing set is part of your name with a client. It should look like your office made it, because your office is the one submitting it. That is why we never force our own template on you. On your first project, send your template drawing, title block, layer standards, text and dimension styles, symbol blocks and a recent finished set. We set up a matching production file and keep it on record for every job after that.
From then on, sheet numbers, revision clouds, note styles and general-note blocks follow your house rules. If your engineers mark a preference once — a leader style, a circuit tag format, a way of calling out spares in a panel schedule — we apply it across the set and on the next project too. The goal is simple: your reviewer should be checking engineering, not fixing drafting habits.
We work in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical for production drafting, with Revit support for model-based projects and Bluebeam Revu for markup and review rounds. If your office runs a specific release or a custom menu setup, tell us at the start so files come back fully compatible.

We draft to the NEC edition your project uses — most often the 2020 or 2023 edition — along with any state or local amendments you flag. When you send a project, tell us the edition and the jurisdiction. Notes, labels and details on the sheets then follow that basis instead of a generic one, which cuts down on plan-review comments later.
Before any set leaves the studio, it goes through a drafting check: sheet titles match the index, tags and callouts agree between plans, schedules and diagrams, text does not overlap, and every sheet prints clean at full size. We also check that the files open without missing references, fonts or images. These are drafting checks, not engineering checks. Your licensed engineer still reviews the content and stamps the set, and we fix any drafting corrections from that review as part of the normal revision round.
Do not wait until everything is perfect. A rough sketch and a phone call worth of notes is enough for us to quote the job and list exactly what else we need.
Two ways to work with us. For one-off sets, each service carries a published from-price — a single-line diagram from $55, panel schedules from $65 per sheet set, as-builts from $45 per sheet — and your exact set gets a fixed quote before we start. The from-price covers a standard set; the final quote depends on size and complexity.
For steady work, hourly drafting support starts from $18/hr. Contractors use it as a weekly retainer-style arrangement: drawings flow to us as they come in, hours are logged and reported plainly, and there is no idle time on your bill. It suits shops with a constant stream of small sets, revisions and bid drawings that never quite justify a full-time hire. Whichever route you pick, every first project starts with a fixed quote confirmed in writing before work begins, so you approve the cost before a single line is drawn.
Electrical contractors use us when bid volume and permit volume collide — the weeks when the office is pricing three jobs and submitting two others at once. MEP firms use us when a project needs clean electrical sheets produced in step with the mechanical and plumbing sets, without pulling their own engineers off checking and coordination. Shops with one strong in-house drafter use us as the second pair of hands that keeps revisions, as-builts and small sets moving while their drafter stays on the largest project.
The handoff is simple. You send files through WhatsApp or email, we confirm the fixed quote and delivery time in writing, and drafting starts the same cycle. During the job you get one clear contact thread, not a ticket queue. At delivery you get the PDF set, the DWG files and a short note listing anything still open on your side. If your reviewer marks corrections in Bluebeam or on paper scans, send them back the same way and the set is updated and returned — normally inside the same 24–48 hour rhythm as the original set.
Focused drafting services that plug into this core support — each with its own fixed from-price and fast turnaround.
We draft single-line diagrams, power and lighting layouts, panel schedules and load schedules, conduit and cable schedules, solar permit plan sets, EV charging layouts, and as-built drawings from redlines. If your team already has a sheet style, we match it. Send a sample sheet with your first project and every sheet after that follows the same look, layers and notes.
Yes. That is how we normally work. Send your title block, template drawing, layer list, text styles and symbol library once, and we draft inside them on every project. Your sets come back looking like your own team produced them, with your company name, sheet numbers and revision style in place. Nothing carries our branding on the drawings themselves.
We draft to the NEC edition your project uses, most often the 2020 or 2023 edition, plus any state or local amendments you flag for us. Tell us the edition and jurisdiction at the start of the project. We follow the code references, notes and details you and your engineer set. Final code review stays with your licensed engineer.
Every project is delivered as a print-ready PDF plan set plus the native DWG files, so your team can revise the drawings later without asking us. On request we can also share marked-up PDFs from Bluebeam Revu for review rounds. Files are named to your sheet numbering, so the set drops straight into your project folder.
Yes. Many clients use us as steady weekly drafting support rather than one-off help. You send work as it comes in, we keep your templates and standards on file, and the same drafting setup carries from job to job. Weekly support is billed hourly from $18 per hour, with hours reported clearly, or as fixed quotes per set if you prefer.
Message us your sketches, markups or an old set on WhatsApp. We reply with a fixed quote and a short list of anything else we need — before any work starts.
