About VoltDraft: Your Electrical Drafting Production Studio

We draft clean, NEC-faithful electrical plan sets for US contractors and installers — inside your templates, at fixed per-set prices, on an overnight schedule.

What VoltDraft is

VoltDraft is a drafting production studio focused on one trade: electrical. We produce single-line diagrams, solar PV permit plan sets, EV charging layouts, panel and load schedules, lighting and power layouts, conduit and cable schedules, as-builts from redlines, and quantity takeoffs. That narrow focus is the point. A studio that drafts electrical sets all day learns where reviewers look, which notes go missing, and how a clean set should read.

Every set is drafted to the NEC edition your project uses, 2020 or 2023, and to your own title block, layers, symbols and standards. We work in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit and Bluebeam Revu, and we deliver a plotted PDF set plus the native DWG files, so your team keeps full control of the drawings after delivery.

Who we serve, and how the work runs

Our clients are US electrical contractors, MEP firms, solar installers and EPCs, EV charging companies and panel shops. Some send one permit set a month. Others keep a steady weekly flow of redlines, schedules and layouts. Both fit the same model: send plans and standards, approve a fixed quote, and receive checked files.

Pricing is fixed per set and confirmed in writing before work begins, from $150 per solar permit plan set and from $120 per EV charging layout. Standard turnaround is 24 to 48 hours per set. The overnight workflow does the heavy lifting: files sent by your US evening are drafted during our workday and returned by your next US morning, ready for your review.

Drafting only, by choice

Drafting only — no PE stamp. Final review and stamp remain with your licensed engineer.

That line is not a limit we hide. It is the deal, stated up front. Your engineer keeps design authority: load decisions, equipment choices and the stamp stay with the licensed engineer who knows the site and the AHJ. We give you production capacity: the hours, care and CAD discipline that turn your engineer's input and your field notes into a clean, complete set.

This split works well in practice. Your senior people stop spending evenings on sheet setup, schedules and redline clean-up. Permit sets go out on schedule. Correction cycles move faster because the drafting bench answers in hours, not days. And nothing about responsibility changes: the set is yours, in your template, under your engineer's review.

Specialization keeps that standard steady from set to set. Because the bench drafts electrical work only, the same checks run every time: title block data matched to the cover, equipment names matched across sheets, NEC references set to the edition your project uses, and schedules compared against the diagrams before plotting. Your files come back in your format, on your layers, ready for your engineer's review. If a detail is missing from the input pack, we ask early and in plain words, rather than filling the gap with a guess that could cost you a correction cycle later at the permit counter.

Questions about the studio

Where is the VoltDraft studio located?

Work is produced by our drafting studio and delivered digitally to clients across the United States. There is no walk-in office to visit, and that is deliberate: the studio runs on US time-zone overlap, so your evening messages are handled during our workday and finished sets reach you the next morning.

Who checks the drawings before delivery?

Every set gets an internal check before it leaves the studio. The checker works from your checklist and your AHJ list where you provide one, and compares the NEC references, labels, schedules and notes across sheets. Only after that pass do we send the PDF set and the native DWG files.

Why do you only do drafting, not engineering?

Drafting only — no PE stamp. Final review and stamp remain with your licensed engineer. We keep that line clear on purpose: your engineer holds design authority and local knowledge, while we supply fast, careful production capacity. You gain drafting hours without giving up control of the engineering decisions.

Can you sign an NDA for our project files?

Yes. We can sign your NDA before the first project, and we treat every client file as private by default. Your plans, templates and standards are used only for your work, never shared and never reused for another client. On request, we delete project files after delivery.
